The other day I invited a close friend of mine from high school to go out with me to the club I talked about in an earlier post. Now mind you this isn't your normal its a "country" club its just alot of line dancing pool shooting and BSing. We used to be what most people consider "country". When we went to college I stayed how I was associating mainly with the "country" people while my friend went of and stopped caring about who she used to care about and started hanging out with people with opposing morals. Now when I asked her to come to the club with me she said that she "cannot be associated with people like me or people that go to the club"
The first thing about being confident is accepting where you came from and acknowledging that hey are it will always be a part of your background. Telling people that you can't "be associated" with them because they are part of your past (in a good way) is like saying you cannot accept part of your past and you are ashamed of it In order to be a completely confident you have to be confident with every aspect of yourself whether it is your past or your present.
